The School Community Council has agreed on the following temperatures for an “Inside-Day”:
● 20 degrees or colder
● 100 degrees or warmer
This is consistent with surrounding elementary schools. With the support of the SCC, day-to-day decisions regarding inside days will be made at the Principal’s and/or Assistant Principal’s discretion.
An “inside-day” is determined by the following reasons:
1. Student health and safety
2. Adult health and safety
3. Effects on learning environment
4. Air quality - Red
5. Extreme Rain or wet snow
6. The “Feels Like” temperature is 20 degrees or less
7. The “Feels Like” temperature is 100 degrees or more
